Flying high, high and high
She wanted to touch the sky
Once a bird so free
She would not know the boundary

She fell so many times
All that she said, I am fine
She fell down again but
Nothing could stop her determine

A will so strong
A dream so high
She flapped her wings
Once again
To touch the sky...

My restless mind has lost the positivity

I sit here for hours now

Thinking what went wrong with me

My mind has stopped reacting

Words seem an ocean to my dried lips

For the reason still unknown

My smile is fading,

My hands tremble now

Mind wants to conquer it all

But I couldn't gather the strength

Which once you had put in me

The Dark Night

Today it's a scary night

I call you in the darkness

To hold my hand firmly

And ask you not to take me far.

You affirm everything is alright

It's just the darkness

A few hours more

And we will see the sunshine.

A bright light will hug us

With a new day

And no blackness anymore

You said hopefully.

I could feel your dreamy eyes

I could feel a positivity on all sides

You are getting restless!

Just the overpowering darkness

I stop you from going far again.

I Miss You like Never before

The pigeons' adda at Connaught Place, Delhi.

Seeing all around the love birds
Makes me think about You

The lovey dovey pair out hand-in-hand
With no fear of the world
Celebrating their togetherness
With the deep warmth in their hearts
Makes me miss You

I think about You
If you were here we would have enjoyed more
Than what I do now, all alone.
We would have solved the puzzle of Jantar Mantar
Or would have flown with those beautiful pigeons
Only if we had wings!

I would have roamed around more carelessly
Knowing you're there to hold me firmly
When I fall
To steal the look at me
When I was immersed in my shopping

Trying out the ‘branded’ shades
And enjoying the never-ending search of those mobile covers
If you were here
We would have shared the laughs
The clashes over choice of restaurants
And then appreciating each other
For the lovely day spent, together.

For all these memories
I day dream of
I miss you wherever You are.

Every Night in My Dreams

Last night you were there

By my side

While I lay in your arms

You caressed me

With a deep look into my eyes

You asked me to sleep

I snuggled and held you tight

So that you never leave me back

I softly placed your hand on my cheeks

Curling within I fell fast asleep

The koyel's coo woke me up

To say you came last night

Again in my dream...

Ma - My Strength, My Everything

Nothing is as soothing as your voice

Nothing can be compared with the comfort you provide

A perfect housewife, a caring mom, the best friend I could ever had

A perfectionist in all

The utter care you give

The gentle hand of yours are never tired to give me those delicacies

Tough and strict from outside but as tender as the semal

You never get tire of waiting for me

You never complain for the odds I do

Coz at the end of the day you know I'm a part of you

The surprises you give me throughout

To see that smile and no tears on my face 

My selfish mind still yearns for them 

Those sweet favourites of mine which you never forget to buy 

And then saying don't get fat 

Had never bothered me till I realised 

There is still a scope to get back 

Sharing those shopoholic moments at Aminabad 

And see me laugh 

You all do it for nothing except the love in your heart

Standing by my side always as a shield

To protect me from the brutal world

Every time you prayed 

You asked for my well being 

You never asked anything for yourself but you wanted Him to fulfil my wish 

Knowing a stubborn me won't listen at times

You had lend your ears whenever I was in need 

Recognising the fear, the anger, the happiness, the loneliness and whatever I'd felt so far

Just by my voice

No one can do it except you my sweet heart 

I see the world through your eyes 

I never said this but I want to be like you 

I thank God to make my life a beautiful journey with my Ma by my side, always.

To lie in my father’s lap

As if the sweet little princess

Has arrived in the town

I miss them, saying in my mind

sun is setting down

leaving behind a beautiful

array of colours in the sky

its time for evryone to meet

its time to return home

its time for a cuckoo to meet his mate

the bird flying for hours

having within the sweet sensuous desire

came across the beauty in his life

hopping branch to branch

playing the pretty game of love

he met those eyes,waiting for his love

the sweet fragrance of their love

flowing in the air

the echo of their chirp,swinging in the night

they forgot the world behind them

melting into each other's arm,under the cover

of the star studded sky

two beautiful souls met this season

magic spelled in the dark

making their world so bright

the two birds dancing in the moonlight

flapping their wings flying together

making their world more beautiful

the night passed slowly

the bright rays came down

tearing the blue sky

once again its time to depart

its time to move to miles

its time to go away from the loved ones

once again the cuckoo flapped his wings

but this time he was alone

alone to fly,alone to set off to the sky

with a promise to return

he disappeared in the bright light

once again,with a hope,to meet his mate.

sweet fragrance of the green grass

flowers blooming like a full moon

silent air that passes by

leaves my soul fully

filled with the shades of your love

tiny creatures that hop from flower to flower

beautiful butterflies in search of nectar

cuckoo singing from the hill top

conveys quietly in my ears

the ecstatic message of your love

birds chirping out in the sky

the dew drops roll slowly on my skin

tickles my heart

and then my heart,once again

longs to feel you,in your love.
